At Baby Steps with Bridges, our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable childcare that supports every child’s development and every parent’s peace of mind—especially families who are often overlooked due to income, race, or access.

In our community, many parents—especially single mothers and working-class families—struggle to find trustworthy, loving care for their infants and preschoolers. Some can't afford childcare at all, which forces them to leave the workforce or rely on unreliable care. We believe every family deserves better.

Baby Steps with Bridges is a safe, enriching daycare center that will serve children from 6 weeks old through preschool. We'll offer structured learning, emotional support, and nutritious meals in a clean, licensed space. We’re especially proud of our scholarship program that will offer free or reduced-cost care to qualifying families.

The childcare industry is a $60 billion+ market, and the need for licensed, affordable providers in Virginia is growing. With rising costs and long waitlists, our center will meet a real need for dozens of families from day one—with room to grow.

I'm currently a solo founder and the future Director of Baby Steps with Bridges. Once funding is secured, I plan to hire 1–2 certified teachers to begin operations. As a Black woman entrepreneur with firsthand experience of this struggle, I'm committed to building a center that reflects love, equity, and opportunity.
